Background

Background

Cross-network Web3 crypto trading needed a more convenient, seamless solution.

This project aimed to enable cross-network crypto trading through a Telegram-based bot, as users found it difficult and time-consuming to transfer coins between different networks like Solana and Hyper, and needed a more convenient way to trade seamlessly.

Challenge

Challenge

Telegram’s limited UI, where buttons serve as menus, CTAs, or inputs, made it challenging to design clear flows without overwhelming users.

When we launched the MVP, we quickly realised that performance issues were limiting the user experience, so we switched to a new development language. Designing for Telegram bots also posed challenges, as its limited UI space and multi-purpose buttons (menus, CTAs, inputs) could easily overwhelm users and break the conversational flow. We needed to prioritise actions for complex tasks like wallet management while keeping the interface clear, intuitive, and easy to navigate.

UX Solution

UX Solution

Refined user flows and interactions by optimising button layouts and improving functional specs to create a smoother experience.

I improved core functionalities and redesigned user flows for a smoother, more efficient experience. Working closely with development and business teams, I updated functional specs and created detailed user flows and storyboards to align everyone on feature requirements.

Solution (Wallet Management Example)

  • Optimised button layout:
Removed the Home button from task flows, keeping only Back to maintain focus while allowing exits via the quick menu.

  • Increased wallet add limit:
Expanded from 3 to 10 to give users more flexibility in managing their wallets.

  • Refined deletion rules:
Prevented deletion of system or default wallets to ensure users always have an active wallet for seamless transactions

QA test & Iteration

QA test & Iteration

Conducted comprehensive QA covering UI, flows, and exceptions across seven menus to refine the UX.

Before launch, the product required thorough testing to ensure a smooth user experience. To achieve this, I split seven menus into user and function menus and conducted two rounds of QA in Month 3, checking UI details, verifying end-to-end flows, and testing exception cases to ensure robustness.

As a result, QA covered 97% of scenarios, revealed errors and UX improvements for a clearer, more intuitive experience, and post-launch bug tracking ensured continuous enhancement.
