Overview

Overview

The Genesis 3D configurators in Europe required ongoing updates to meet evolving business needs.

After the AEM-based Genesis 3D Configurator (built-to-order) and Stock sites were launched, ongoing system updates and new features were needed to meet evolving business requirements. This led to a dedicated DevOps initiative to enhance UX, stability, and operational efficiency across the UK, Germany, and Switzerland.

Goals

Goals

Enhance the car-buying experience by designing AEM components that scale content across markets.

As Genesis’s live platforms expanded with new features and localized content, AEM constraints made real-time UX fixes and content updates increasingly complex. At the same time, enhancing the Stock Car site to offer users more purchasing options became a growing business challenge—requiring fast, scalable solutions across three regions.

Challenge

Challenge

To improve “Get a Quote” conversion on the stock car site

One of the most impactful tasks during this year-long project was improving the Get a Quote conversion rate on the Stock Car platform. This was crucial for encouraging more users to connect with dealerships and move forward in their purchase journey.

I focused on two main solutions: enhancing the quote experience to make it more seamless and appealing, and improving vehicle visibility so users could always find relevant options.

Solution

Solution

UX Solution 1: Empowering users with clear customization paths

Many users saw stock vehicles and assumed they couldn’t be customized, leading them to skip the “Get a Quote” step. I spotted the drop-off and introduced a responsive popup that highlighted available personalization options. This helped users make informed decisions and drove higher engagement in the quote flow.

Working in an AEM environment, I designed a modular popup component, mapped key user scenarios, and wrote a detailed functional spec to keep design, engineering, and CMS teams aligned.

UX Solution 2: Increasing stock vehicle visibility

To improve vehicle discoverability and drive more quote requests, I led two initiatives:

  1. Refined filter logic to improve stock relevance and reduce no-result pages
